Mr. Tankersley is a founding partner of Burglass & Tankersley, LLC. Mr. Tankersley has focused on state and local governmental defense, class action defense, construction law and business law. He regularly represents and counsels governmental entities both in litigation and transactional matters. Mr. Tankersley has extensive experience in class action litigation in state and federal courts.

Mr. Tankersley has also focused on admiralty and maritime law during his years of practice. Prior to joining Burglass & Tankersley, Mr. Tankersley served in the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Maritime Administration and was Deputy General Counsel for an international shipping company.

Mr. Tankersley is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and American Bar Association. Mr. Tankersley is a member of the Business Law and Public Contracts Law Sections. He is also a member of the Maritime Law Association. Mr. Tankersley is AV® peer review rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Tankersley received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. He received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Kansas where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
